**Veterinarian Referral Required For Animal Sessions!**
About Me:
***So website updating has not been a priority. I’m too busy working on horses. This ‘About Me’ is now a few years old. Will add updating my education to my ‘to do’ list, but don’t hold your breath! 😅 ***
I started The Kneaded Edge in 1996. My interest in bodywork began in an effort to help my off the track thoroughbred who required regular visits from the equine chiropractor and acupuncturist. After my first certification in equine sports massage, I was hooked. Even with my limited experience in massage back then, people were seeing a difference in my horses and started asking me to work on theirs. From that point on there was no turning back. It is extremely fulfilling to make a difference in an animal's life. I began taking many different courses searching for more answers to help the problems that remained. The more I learned the more I needed to learn more. I take continuing education courses every year. It was a natural progression to add canine courses and more recently I was certified in Magna Wave PEMF for humans as well as their equine and canine companions.
I graduated from Virginia Tech with a bachelors degree in Animal Science. I have over 10 years experience working with both equine and small animal veterinarians. During the last 23 years, along side The Kneaded Edge, I have managed the health, rehabilitation and breeding aspects of an Arabian and Thoroughbred farm in central Delaware.
Some of the courses I have taken include Integrative Medicine for Musculoskeletal Problems with the most awesome Dr. Kerry Ridgway, Equissage with founder Mary Schreiber, multiple Masterson Method courses, with Jim Masterson, Stephanie Reinhold, Coralea Hughes and Tamara Yates, Tallgrass Equine Acupressure , Equine Anatomy with Equinology, Basic and Advanced Equine and Canine Myofascial Release with Ruth Mitchell-Golloday, Daniel Kamen's Intro to Equine and Canine Chiropractics, Equine and Canine Cranio-Sacral with Wes Maillard, Reiki 1 & 2 with Deanna Fitzpatrick, Photonic Health's Equine Red Light course, Equine Massage, Myofascial Release & Cranio-Sacral with MNHA Equine Massage school, The Balanced Touch course, Hoof Distortions with Daisy Bicking, Magna Wave PEMF with Pat Ziemer and Dr. Jerry Dreessen, many Equine Dissection courses with both world renowned Dr. Sharon May Davis and Dr. Ivana Ruddock of The Equine Touch program and many more! I am currently working on my certification in equine and canine neuro-myfascial release. This year I completed the Equine Massage course at Equinology and the first year of modules at the Vluggen Institute for Equine Osteopathy.
In my spare time I enjoy spending life with friends and family along with horse time that includes eventing, dressage, Straightness Training, trail riding, and natural horsemanship.
